Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using GlobalParcels LLC services. By booking a shipment or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Definitions & Interpretation

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply unless the context requires otherwise:

  • "Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" refers to GlobalParcels LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States of America.
  • "Customer", "You" or "Your" refers to any individual, business or entity that accesses our website, places a booking or uses any of our services.
  • "Services" means all logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, tracking, customs clearance and related services provided by GlobalParcels LLC.
  • "Shipment" means any parcel, package, consignment or freight item accepted by us for transport or storage.
  • "Carrier" means GlobalParcels LLC and any sub-contracted third-party carriers, agents or service providers acting on our behalf.
  • "Consignee" means the person or entity to whom a shipment is addressed and delivered.
  • "Consignor" means the person or entity sending the shipment.
  • "Dangerous Goods" means any item classified as hazardous under IATA, IMDG, DOT or applicable national regulations.

Headings used in these Terms are for convenience only and shall not affect interpretation. References to statutes include all amendments and successor legislation.

Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, placing a booking, or engaging our services in any form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific services.

If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In such cases, "You" and "Your" shall refer to that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services. Continued use of our services following any amendment to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

We reserve the right to update, modify or replace any part of these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to check these Terms periodically for changes.

Our Services

GlobalParcels LLC provides the following logistics and freight services, subject to availability and these Terms:

  • Road Freight — domestic and cross-border road freight throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico
  • Sea Freight — FCL and LCL ocean freight to 200+ ports worldwide from US origin ports
  • Air Cargo — international express air freight to 200+ countries with 24–72 hour delivery
  • Warehousing & Fulfilment — secure storage, inventory management, pick and pack and last-mile delivery services
  • Customs Clearance — import and export customs brokerage, documentation and compliance services
  • Parcel Tracking — real-time tracking and shipment visibility services via our online platform

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend or cancel any booking or service at our sole discretion, including where we reasonably believe a shipment contains prohibited items, violates applicable law, or poses a risk to health, safety or security.

Services are subject to geographic availability, operational capacity and applicable regulatory requirements. We do not guarantee the availability of any specific service at any given time.

Bookings & Contracts

A binding contract between you and GlobalParcels LLC is formed when we issue a written booking confirmation or airway bill/bill of lading following your completed booking. Quotes provided before booking acceptance are not contractually binding and are subject to change.

Customer Obligations at Booking

When placing a booking, you warrant and represent that:

  • All information provided regarding the shipment — including weight, dimensions, declared value and contents — is accurate and complete
  • The shipment does not contain any prohibited or restricted items as defined in Section 6
  • You have obtained all necessary export and import licences, permits and approvals
  • The consignee has been informed of and consents to the shipment
  • You are the lawful owner of the goods or are duly authorised to ship them

Important: Providing false or incomplete information at the time of booking may result in immediate cancellation, additional charges, seizure by customs authorities and potential criminal liability. GlobalParcels LLC shall not be liable for any resulting losses.

Pricing & Payments

All prices quoted are in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices are based on the information provided at the time of booking and may be subject to adjustment if actual shipment details differ from those declared.

Additional Charges

The following additional charges may apply and are not included in the base shipping quote unless explicitly stated:

Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of booking for consumer shipments. Business account holders with approved credit terms must settle invoices within 30 days of invoice date. Late payments will incur interest at 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, ACH bank transfer and wire transfer. We do not accept cash, cheques or cryptocurrency for payment of services.

Prohibited & Restricted Items

The following items are strictly prohibited from all GlobalParcels LLC services. Tendering a prohibited item is a breach of these Terms and may result in legal action:

  • Explosives, firearms, ammunition and weapons of any kind
  • Illegal drugs, narcotics and controlled substances
  • Human remains, organs or body parts
  • Live animals (except with prior written approval and appropriate permits)
  • Currency, negotiable instruments, bearer bonds and precious metals in excess of declared limits
  • Counterfeit, pirated or fraudulently labelled goods
  • Goods subject to trade sanctions or embargoes
  • Pornographic or obscene materials
  • Hazardous waste and radioactive materials
  • Items that are illegal to import or export in the origin or destination country

Shipments found to contain prohibited items will be immediately seized and reported to the relevant authorities. The customer will bear full liability for all resulting costs, fines, penalties and legal consequences. No refund will be issued.

Certain items are restricted and may only be shipped subject to prior written approval, additional documentation and applicable surcharges. Contact us before booking to verify whether your goods are permissible.

Packaging Requirements

It is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure that all shipments are adequately and appropriately packaged for the mode of transport and the nature of the goods. GlobalParcels LLC will not be liable for damage resulting from inadequate packaging.

Packaging Standards

  • All items must be packaged to withstand normal handling pressures, stacking and vibration during transit
  • Fragile items must be individually wrapped and suspended within the outer carton using appropriate cushioning material
  • Liquids must be sealed in leak-proof primary containers, over-wrapped in absorbent material and placed in a sealed outer container
  • Electronic items must be protected against static discharge using anti-static packaging
  • Sharp or protruding items must be safely covered to prevent injury to handlers and damage to other shipments
  • All packaging must be clean, unused, undamaged and appropriate for the weight and size of the contents

We reserve the right to refuse or re-package any shipment deemed inadequately packaged, at the customer's expense. Any re-packaging carried out by GlobalParcels LLC does not transfer liability for damage from the customer to us.

Liability & Claims

Our liability for loss or damage to shipments in our care is limited as follows, unless otherwise agreed in writing or additional insurance is purchased:

Claims Process

All claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within the following timeframes from the date of delivery or expected delivery:

  • Visible damage: Must be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery and reported to us within 48 hours
  • Concealed damage: Must be reported within 7 calendar days of delivery
  • Loss or non-delivery: Must be reported within 30 calendar days of the scheduled delivery date

Claims submitted outside these timeframes will not be accepted. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages under any circumstances, including loss of profits, business interruption or loss of market.

Insurance

Basic cargo insurance is included with all GlobalParcels LLC shipments, providing coverage up to the limits specified in Section 8. This coverage applies to physical loss or damage caused by external accident during transit.

Enhanced Insurance

Customers are strongly encouraged to declare the full value of their shipment and purchase additional insurance where the shipment value exceeds the standard liability limits. Enhanced cargo insurance is available at the time of booking for an additional premium calculated as a percentage of declared value.

Insurance Exclusions

Insurance coverage does not extend to the following:

  • Losses arising from inadequate packaging by the customer
  • Inherent vice, natural deterioration or gradual deterioration of goods
  • Losses caused by customs detention, confiscation or government intervention
  • Electrical or mechanical derangement not caused by external accident
  • Losses resulting from the customer's own negligence or misrepresentation
  • Prohibited or undeclared items
  • Consequential or indirect losses of any nature

Delivery & Delays

Delivery timeframes quoted at the time of booking are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless explicitly confirmed as guaranteed delivery in writing. Timeframes are subject to customs clearance, weather conditions, force majeure events and local operational factors.

Delivery Attempts

For door-to-door shipments, we will make up to two delivery attempts at the consignee's address. If delivery cannot be completed after two attempts, the shipment will be held at our nearest facility for a period of 7 days. After this period, uncollected shipments may be returned to the sender or disposed of, with all associated costs charged to the customer.

Force Majeure

GlobalParcels LLC shall not be liable for delays or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, government action, strike, port congestion, severe weather or infrastructure failure. In such circumstances we will use reasonable endeavours to complete delivery as soon as practically possible.

Customs & Import Laws

The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all shipments comply with the import and export laws, regulations and customs requirements of all relevant countries. GlobalParcels LLC acts as a customs broker only where explicitly agreed in writing.

  • The customer must provide accurate and complete customs declarations, including correct HS codes, country of origin and declared value
  • All customs duties, import taxes, VAT and associated government charges are the responsibility of the consignee unless a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) arrangement has been agreed in writing
  • Goods may be inspected, delayed or seized by customs authorities for reasons beyond our control
  • GlobalParcels LLC will not be liable for delays, costs or losses arising from customs inspections, detentions or seizures
  • The customer indemnifies GlobalParcels LLC against any fines, penalties or legal costs arising from incorrect or incomplete customs declarations

Under-declaration of value or misdescription of goods for customs purposes is a criminal offence in most jurisdictions and may result in seizure of goods, financial penalties and criminal prosecution of the shipper.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to our customer service team. The following cancellation policy applies:

Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. Customs duties and taxes paid to government authorities are non-refundable by GlobalParcels LLC.

Intellectual Property

All content on the GlobalParcels LLC website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software and the overall design, is the exclusive property of GlobalParcels LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, modify, transmit, distribute or otherwise exploit any content from our website without our prior written consent. Unauthorised use may give rise to a claim for damages and may be a criminal offence.

The GlobalParcels LLC name, logo and all related marks are registered trademarks. Use of our name, logo or brand elements without written permission is strictly prohibited and constitutes trademark infringement.

Privacy & Data Protection

GlobalParcels LLC collects, processes and stores personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By using our services, you consent to our processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We collect and use personal data to process bookings, fulfil shipments, comply with legal obligations, communicate with customers and improve our services. We do not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Personal data may be shared with sub-contracted carriers, customs authorities and government agencies as required to fulfil your shipment or comply with applicable law. All data transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact our data protection team at privacy@globalparcels.com.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or our services, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails within 30 days, either party may initiate the following process:

  • Mediation: Disputes will be referred to a mutually agreed mediator. Costs of mediation will be shared equally between the parties
  • Arbitration: If mediation fails, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in New York, NY under the rules of the American Arbitration Association
  • Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action proceedings
